Cybil Johnson - Valley Christian Counseling Center

Cybil Johnson

Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

I enjoy helping others achieve the joy that comes with healing through counseling and spiritual reflection. Following Jesus’ example, I strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for clients to share their struggles and receive non-judgmental acceptance as they improve life and strengthen relationships.

Meeting clients where they are at, I empower through strength-based and solution-focused approaches. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide and support clients through the tough times and toward a better quality of life. With the Holy Spirit’s guidance, I walk with each client in their experience of God’s forgiveness and grace. (Ephesians 1:7)

In December of 2020, I received a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am working toward my LPCC licensure. I am honored to be a part of the Valley Christian Counseling team!

Areas of Interest: A wide variety of mental health and spiritual issues, including depression, anxiety, guilt and shame, stress management, communication skills, and relationship issues. Works with couples and individuals ages 18+.
