I grew up in a small town and farm in northern Minnesota that laid a foundation of values and work ethic that I carried into adulthood. My life completely changed in my early 20’s by God’s grace through Jesus Christ. What followed were years of “training” through life experiences, the classroom, pastoral ministry, and counseling in adolescent treatment facilities and adult mental health centers. I am committed to upholding the authority of Christ and scripture in the couseling process which demands responsibility when integrating theory, techniques, science, and research.
Those visiting my office will not see fancy furnishings or décor but rather personal reminders of lives that have been changed by, I believe, the power of God. I consider it a great privilege to serve and care for others, including those who may think differently than I do, or those who may have no spiritual inclination at all. I now watch people experience the power of God’s presence and His love permeating their painful circumstances similar to what the Lord has done for me. I want to give Him all the credit and thanks and to continue to commit myself to doing this work His way.
